MONROE, LA- The Monroe Moccasins are pleased to announce that they have signed Helmar Oskarsson.
Oskarsson, 24, is a very skilled, quick forward with high hockey IQ. He has played over 150 games in HockeyEttan in Sweden, he has played with Tegs SK and Kiruna AIF, most recently for Vännäs HC, playing 30 games with 5 Goals and 5 Assists for a total of 10 points.
“I’m so excited to come down to Louisiana and show the fans the exciting game I play on the ice, I am coming to bring a championship back to the bayou,” said Oskarsson.
“Playing against Helmar during my time playing in Sweden allowed me the opportunity to see how skilled of a player he really is,” said President and Managing Partner Parker Moskal. “Bringing over such big talent like Helmar from Sweden is going to make a huge contribution when it comes to winning the championship!”
The Monroe Moccasins will have their first home game on October 11th @ 7PM at the Monroe Civic Center.
