Monroe Moccasins facing coaching change after season opener

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — Changes coming to coaching staff for Monroe Moccasins after just one game. According to the Federal Prospects Hockey League, the Monroe Moccasins have dismissed Todd McIlrath as their head coach following the Moccasins 7-2 loss in their first game back on the ice in 23 years. According to the transaction reports from the FPHL, the Moccasins also released Justin Levac as a player, but has hired him as their head coach. We reached out to Moccasins ownership for comment, but have not received one at this time. We will bring you more details as they become available.
